Sunday’s message from Luke 22:63-23:56 preached by Paul Wilding, entitled, “Jesus: Dead & Buried ” is available to listen/download from here.
Got an update from my friend Bob Kauflin’s Worship Matters Blog in my email inbox.
Bob writes:
My son-in-law, Kerrin, made me aware of the Beatbox Chef video the other day. After a little Google research I realized I may be one of the ten people on the planet who hasn’t seen this. But maybe you’re one of them, too.
The Brit in the video below goes by the name of “Beardyman.” I’ve watched his video numerous times with amazement. His timing is impeccable. One example of how presentation can take something everyone’s familiar with and make it unique.
Enjoy!
I just wanted to make you all aware of some of the emails we’ve been receiving in response to the “Shepherding a Child’s Heart” Parenting Conference with Tedd Tripp.
Thanks again to all those who served in formal ways (refreshments, registration, resources, stewarding, PA, worship, etc) and to all you folks for welcoming and reaching out to our guests. It definitely did not go unnoticed! We share these to encourage you.
“Thank you for a wonderful day. The organisation was excellent.”
– Emma McCarthy (Swindon)“My wife and I would like to thank Grace Church for being such excellent hosts at the conference. As well as being inspired as parents, we felt very well looked after.”
– Paul Hunnisett (Bristol)“May I also thank you for the totally outstanding way your church served the day. It was evident in many little ways that you have discipled your people well. They were constantly serving with real joy. Everything they did was done with care and to an excellent standard. Please pass on our thanks to all your teams.”
– Simon Walker (Pastor, City Church Bristol)“Just want to thank you and those at Grace Church Bristol for serving us so well on Saturday. It was a great conference and my wife and I were greatly ministered to. Please pass on our grateful thanks to the church members, they were magnificent.”
– Glyn Blaize (Loughton, Essex)“Thank you for making it possible for us to listen to Tedd Tripp. This is going to make a positive effect in the body of Christ big time… a whole generation being affected by positive parenting.”
– Alex Geogre (Bristol)
Thanks you for serving God so joyfully, faithfully and sacrificially. To God be the glory!
If you remember this week, please pray for:
1. Peter & June, as they jet off to the USA on Wednesday afternoon to attend the Sovereign Grace Pastors Conference.
They will be gathering with most of the pastors and wives of our the churches that make up our larger Sovereign Grace family. Please pray that they will be freshly equipped and refreshed by the conference.
2. Nathan, as he prepares to preach at Christchurch, Newport this coming Sunday. Nathan will be preaching from Luke 18, on Jesus, the Saviour who stops.
Please pray for grace in his preparation and grace as he preaches God’s Word to our friends in Newport.
3. Paul Wilding, as he prepares to preach at Grace Church this coming Sunday. Paul is preaching from Luke 23 and Jesus’ cry from the cross: “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Please pray for grace and clarity of thought as he prepares, and for the assistance of the Holy Spirit as he preaches God’s Word to our church.
4. Matt & Lizzie Chapman, as they head into hospital on Friday for the delivery of their baby.
Please pray for much grace upon the day: for the safe arrival of little Baby Chapman, and for Lizzie’s quick recovery from the C-Section.
