SUNDAY-REVIEW

Sunday WorshipIt was great to be together again yesterday morning, joined as God’s chosen people, to focus and reflect upon the grace that is ours thanks to God’s sovereign work of salvation!

Yesterday’s sermon from Ephesians 1:3-14, entitled: “The Son‘s Grace, the Son’s Glory” is available to listen to or download from here, or via our iTunes podcast feed.

The “Take-It-Home” Sheet for this sermon is available here.

And don’t forget, this week’s Ephesians Memory Verse Song –An Inheritance in Him (Eph 1:11)” is available now!

Some folks have asked for the quotes from yesterday’s message, and they follow here:

Dick Lucas:
“I hope you don’t underestimate the forgiveness of sins.  For many years I did.  I got the impression that forgiveness was rather prelimenary.  But, rather than preliminary the forgiveness of sinners providing reconciliation of God with man and man with God is THE most exciting thing of which the Bible speaks and we must never get beyond this!”

C.H. Spurgeon:
“If any of you doubt whether there is forgiveness with God, I pray you to stand on Calvary, and look into the wounds of Jesus. Gaze upon His nail-pierced hands and feet, His thorn-crowned brow, and look right into His heart where the soldier’s spear was thrust—and blood and water flowed out for the double cleansing of all who trust Him.”

CJ Mahaney:
“Because of the gospel’s power, you can be completely free of all condemnation.  Not mostly free; completely free.  Don’t buy the lie that cultivating condemnation and wallowing in your shame is somehow pleasing to God, or that a constant, low-grade guilt will somehow promote holiness and spiritual maturity.  It’s just the opposite! God is glorified when we believe with all our hearts that those who trust in Christ can never be condemned.”
