You may remember that back in the autumn of 2011, as part of our “Autumn Outreach Initiatives” we, as a church, started collecting cleaning materials, clothes, blankets, coats, etc, in order to make a donation to the excellent work being undertaken in our city by the Julian Trust Bristol Night Shelter.
Our pre-Christmas collection finished on Sunday 18th December, and we were able to make a big donation in the week leading up to Christmas. In fact, here’s a picture of some of the stuff we collected, being sorted by a couple of glamourous assistants! Actually, because of your generosity we couldn’t display all the items we received on the table in the photo – There are another 5 full black bin bags full of donations! THANK YOU!
I wanted to take a moment to pass on the letter I received recently from Rhianan Lowes, the Christmas co-ordinator and Associate Manager of the Christmas Shelter, expressing her thanks to YOU for your generosity and kindness in helping to support the many homeless people of our city.
