Operation Christmas Child is the largest children’s Christmas project in the world, run by the Christian charity Samaritan’s Purse. In 2010, they celebrate 20 years of this special shoebox appeal, which has already brought joy into the lives of over 80 million children worldwide.
In its simplest form, it is all about a gift – given by you to a child in need. Pack up a shoebox full of gifts and goodies, which will then sent to orphans and vulnerable children living in often difficult circumstances overseas.
If you would like to be involved this year, please pick up a leaflet from the Info Point and return your wrapped-up shoe box to us no later than SUNDAY 31st October 2010.
For more info and gift ideas check out the official website.
Worship matters.
It matters to God because he is the only one ultimately worthy of all worship. It matters to us because worshipping God is the reason for which we were created. Worship isn’t primarily about music, techniques, liturgies, songs or methodologies. It’s about our hearts. It’s about what and who we love more than anything.
Come and join with us for a new preaching series during October and November, as we follow the Psalmist in worshipping the One true Living God.
We begin Sunday 3rd October 2010 exploring Psalm 73.
Join us as we continue our “Christ in the Old Testament” series with a four week study in the Book of Ruth:
