Calling all Grace Church members (and regular attenders)!

An important “family meeting” is being held on:

Wednesday 8th September 2010,
8pm at Bristol Metropolitan Academy.

Please put it in your diary, and try to organise babysitters so as many as possible can make it.  As it’s the start of a new academic year, the aim is to set aside some time to gather together to consider for the next 12 months of our church life.

We’ll be reflecting in the grace of God towards us over the last 12 months, and sharing some exciting news, updates and plans for the year ahead, and praying for more of God’s grace!

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been exploring Paul’s “Household Code” in Ephesians 5 and 6, taking a look at how our new life should work out in new relationships within the home, specifically with regard to “Husbands and Wives” and “Parents and Children”.

Take Home Sheets for these two sermon are available:

SUNDAY-PREVIEW

Join us this coming Sunday (4th March 2010) for Easter Sunday as we celebrate the wonderful news of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

It’s a family service suitable for all ages, with music and video. Pastor Nathan Smith (pictured right) will be preaching a short message on the transforming power of the resurrection.  Colin Elliott (pictured left) will be leading us in songs of praise to God.

For this week only the service starts at 11am and will last about an hour. Complimentary tea and coffee available from 10:30am. There will also be FREE Easter eggs for all children under 12.

We have a fully-staffed creche available for little ones (6-months to 4 years old).  And because it is Easter Sunday, the 5-11 year olds will be staying in for the whole service!

Find us at Bristol Metropolitan Academy, Snowdon Road Entrance, Fishponds, BS16 2HD.

We’re starting at 6pm.  The service will only be an hour.  We’ll be meeting at the Percy Community Centre, New King Street, Bath, BA1 2BN.

There’s no formal provision for kids, but there is a room where younger children can play, if a parent wants to supervise them.

SUNDAY-REVIEW

I hope you’ll agree that yesterday was a fantastic day, gathering together, fellowshipping together, worshipping together and being exhorted and encouraged through God’s Word together.

It was great to see so many new faces and guests, and to be able to meet some of our friends from the church we have a growing relationship with in the town of  Villisar, near Barcelona in Spain.

Pete Greasley, our friend and senior pastor of Christchurch Newport, was with us and preached an excellent, encouraging message entitled: “The Pursuit of Goodness and Mercy” from Psalm 23.  The audio available to listen to or download from here, via our iTunes podcast feed.

For those of you with children in the Generations Sunday School, here’s the “Weekly Info” that we hope will serve you in following up with your children on what they sang and learned this week, and the verse to memorise for next week’s Sunday school.
